Do you want to take part in our exciting journey, as an important member of our team? Our office is in the center of Aarhus, located in Scandinavian Center. We have awesome coffee, great lunch and the best colleagues you could wish for. MFT Energy a successful start-up that has a clear vision that we would like you to be part of:
Together we build the most scalable European energy trading hub
The big focus is on automation, data and process optimization – we are building up our IT-team (currently five people) with more skilled professionals. We are handling a lot of services and process optimization, both within trading and back office tasks. We would like you on board for this ongoing challenge. You will be working closely with both our Trading departments and our Backoffice function.
We are preferably looking for a part-time or a full-time employee, for 30/37 hours a week, but it is negotiable.
Expected start date 15-09-2019, but up for discussion
Typically, you will get a lot of responsibility within a given project, but you will always get the support needed to understand the scope, testing the solutions and getting the solution into production. Your colleagues are here to help. You will get the possibility to develop your software skills, while creating solutions that will be business critical. The projects range from complex software applications, both services and windows-applications (we don’t expect experience on both), to understanding new trading areas and supporting it with various small software tools. It is important that you have a drive to understand the business and enjoy challenging the solutions we are creating. Being part of a fast-growing startup involves many different tasks, and we hope that you enjoy this kind of environment.
Qualifications we believe are important
You should be enrolled in a relevant education within software development and generally have flair for IT. Your English writing/speaking skills are good. You are preferably on your master program (but hey, if you are on a bachelor program and thinks this sounds awesome, let’s talk) and have some hands-on experience with software development. Maybe you have your own spare time projects or have been working as a programmer. Having worked within the Energy Sector is a plus, but not a must. We are using a variety of different programming languages, but especially C#/.NET and Python. We are using Git and value principles of testing and automation.
We hope that you are independent, proactive and dynamic. At MFT Energy we are United, so we believe you should be a natural people-person, who are able to listen and challenge others – a team player. The days are full of challenges and opportunities. We would like you to see opportunities where others see problems.
If you think there is a fit between our values and your aspirations, we will be looking forward to receiving your application.
